About this course:

This is a great introduction to pottery where you will sample many techniques and enjoy what they have to offer. A very enticing introduction to pottery and with impressive results for beginners. ​ During the course you will be given guidance in relation to different projects. This will include detailed teaching in relation to how to make pinched, coiled and slab built forms, and how to use these techniques to make pots. Your main build will be a slab build over two session. Demonstrations will be given on how to use a potter’s wheel and you will be able to use the wheel to make your own bowl, under guidance as required. You will be shown surface decoration and painting/glazing techniques before applying them to the forms you have created. Your finished pieces will be fired in our kiln for you to collect and take home after the course has finished. Thursday evenings between 6:30pm–8:30pm for 5 weeks.

We have places for maximum 8 adults on each course. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time (6:30pm) to prepare.
